A new "retro-inspired" wallpaper collection has been released by @BasicAppleGuy. This collection captures various wavy color bands. The colors and design take you back to a nostalgic time when you dropped coins to keep your turn at your favorite arcade machine. Lo-fi gradients and rich colors create great wallpapers for iPhone, iPad, or 6K desktop computers.
"Sound.wav" Wallpapers
In this week's iDB Wallpapers section, we are featuring digital artist BasicAppleGuy. The "Sound.wav" collection is inspired by visualizations of sound waves and pays homage to the retro .wav audio file extension. A clever and appreciated work. You may have found yourself playing .wav files in desktop applications like Winamp.
The full collection offers iPhone, iPad, and 6K desktop versions in blue, green, orange, purple, red, sky blue, silver, and yellow colors. Each color is provided in two variants for light and dark modes. The original wallpaper pack contains a total of 48 images. Additionally, light and dark modes are available as a dynamic HEIC file that changes according to your settings for macOS. This technically adds eight more files, resulting in a collection of 56 files in total.
