Learn what to do when browsing in Safari on an iPhone with iOS 26 and experiencing the issue of web page content being cut off, leaving a blank white area at the bottom of the page.
Some users have reported that Safari suddenly cuts off the bottom of the web page in iOS 26, making it impossible to view the full content unless they scroll down.

In some cases, the options on the Safari Home Page also appear to be oddly cut off, which does not align with Apple's style.

If you are facing this issue as well, here are some tips for a solution.
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS 26 version
If your iPhone is still running the initial version of iOS 26, go to Settings > General > Software Update and install the latest version. As of writing, the current version is iOS 26.3.1 (iOS 26.4 will be released very soon).
Ensure the page is fully loaded
It is also possible that the web page you entered did not load completely due to internet or VPN issues. Check your internet connection and refresh the page by tapping the curved arrow icon in the Safari address bar.
Restart your iPhone
iOS 26 is quite buggy and problematic, just like its predecessor. Since my daily tasks involve using an iPhone, iPad, and Mac, I have encountered many issues such as Safari displaying a completely blank white page, Universal Clipboard not working almost every day, and AirDrop failing to transfer files.
Although I don’t always like restarting my iPhone in the middle of work, this simple step can be quite effective. If you can’t remember the last time you restarted your device, do it now and check if the issue of the cut-off half blank white page is resolved.
Turn off Reduce Transparency mode
If you do not like the new Liquid Retina design language, you can increase readability by reducing transparency and blurring some backgrounds.
If you have installed the latest version of iOS 26 but this strange Safari issue persists, follow these steps to turn off Reduce Transparency:
- Open the Settings app and tap Accessibility.
- Tap Display and Text Size.
- If Reduce Transparency is on, turn it off.
- Now force close Safari and reopen it, or restart your iPhone and go to the same web page again. This time, it should display the full content without showing a white box at the bottom of the page.
Try a different Safari tab style
Safari supports three tab layouts, with Compact being the default. Go to Settings > Apps > Safari and select either Tabs or Separate. Then open Safari and refresh the web page. This time, it should display the entire content without cutting it off.
Edit the Safari Home Page
If you notice that some items on your Safari Home Page are cut off, follow the tips above. If these do not work, try the following:
- Go to the Safari Home Page on your iPhone, tap Edit, and turn off all options.
- Force close Safari.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Open Safari, tap Edit, and re-add the options you want on the Home Page. Hopefully, some of them will no longer be cut off.
Clear Safari browser data
If the issue is still unresolved, go to iOS 26 Settings > Apps > Safari and clear all history and browser data. Then restart your iPhone and this issue should be a thing of the past.
Check if the problem exists in other browsers
Just like on macOS, browsers on iOS, including Chrome, must use Apple’s WebKit engine. This means that even if they have different interfaces, they share the same underlying rendering engine as Safari.
Still, visit the same web page in Chrome, Firefox, or other browsers and check if the issue persists. If it does not, clear Safari browser data as mentioned above.
Reset all iOS settings
If the Safari on your iPhone shows a blank white box at the bottom of web pages, and this is due to conflicting settings rather than bugs or glitches, resetting everything may help.
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset and reset all settings. You can read about the results of this in our linked tutorial.
Reinstall your iPhone
Finally, if nothing helps and waiting for a new iOS 26 update or switching to another browser is not an option for you, consider erasing your device and reinstalling it. Of course, make sure to back up all your important data to iCloud or create a full device backup before doing this.
